Analytics & Reporting — Overview

Which reporting screen answers which question — dashboards, campaign performance, live activity, and the definitions behind every number.

Personyze reports on two things: what your visitors do on the site, and what your campaigns did about it. This overview maps where each number lives so you know which screen to open for which question.

Two videos cover the reports:

Watch the 1:49 walkthrough: site traffic, the quality of those visits, what converted, and exporting any of it.

Watch the 1:16 walkthrough: creating a scheduled report, choosing what it covers, and setting when it arrives.

Where the numbers live

  • Account Overview — the top-line snapshot for the whole account: visits, impressions, clicks, conversions, and attributed revenue over your reporting range. Start here for “how are we doing overall?” It is also a dashboard — the standard layout, which you can copy and rebuild with the cards you want, scope to particular campaigns, share, or have emailed to you.
  • Campaign Performance tab — per-campaign and per-action results: the shown → viewed → clicked → goal funnel, engagement, and the revenue a campaign influenced. This is where you judge a single campaign.
  • Live Activity — visitors on your site right now, with the actions firing for them. Use it to confirm a launch is working and to watch behavior live.
  • Metrics definitions — exactly what each term means (impression vs. delivery, shown vs. viewed, goal rate), so numbers are read the same way across your team.
A campaign-dedicated goal appears in these views under its own name, alongside the account-wide ones — there is no separate section, filter or label to hunt for. It simply does not appear on the dashboard, or in the reports of campaigns it is not attached to. How goal scopes work.

Make the numbers meaningful

Reporting is only as good as your goals. Define what counts as success in Conversion Tracking — ideally a purchase goal with the order total as its value — so every report can show attributed revenue, not just clicks. Goals defined once are reused across every campaign and audience.

Send data to your own analytics

Personyze can forward campaign events to the analytics stack you already use — Google Analytics 4, GTM data layer, Segment, Tealium, Klaviyo — configured under Settings → Site profile → Analytics. That way personalization impressions and conversions show up alongside the rest of your reporting.

The Send Event to Analytics action reaches further than the Site profile defaults: ActiveCampaign, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Brevo and Mailchimp are available too. All five are Automation only — they call each tool’s own API from Personyze’s servers with a key you paste on the action, so they work without the visitor being on your site and without that tool’s script on the page. There is no on-page equivalent for them, which is why they do not appear on the on-site version of the action.

How to read a result honestly

  • Watch rates (goal rate, click-through) rather than raw counts when comparing campaigns of different sizes — but ignore rates on tiny samples.
  • Compare against a baseline: an A/B test tells you what personalization added versus doing nothing.
  • Give a campaign enough traffic and time before drawing conclusions.
