Your existing customers already pay you — the pricing page is a great place to grow that. This recipe shows add-ons and upgrades to logged-in customers right on the pricing (or account) page, while new visitors see the normal plans.

The path at a glance

  1. Know who’s a customer.
  2. Show add-ons inline for them.
  3. Tailor the offer to their plan.
  4. Measure upgrades.

1. Recognize the customer

Identify signed-in customers by a visitor attributes you set (e.g. plan, is_customer, account_tier) — pushed from your app, CRM, or billing system. Now Personyze can tell a prospect from a paying customer.

2. Show add-ons inline

Add an “Add-ons for your plan” section to the pricing or account page with the WYSIWYG editor — or render it into a placeholder you place once. It appears only for customers; prospects keep seeing the standard plans. Because it’s inline (not a popup), it reads as part of your product, not an ad.

3. Tailor to their plan

Use content variations so the add-ons match what they already have — a Pro customer sees the Pro→Business upgrade and the add-ons Pro is missing; an Enterprise customer sees seats, SSO, or premium support. Merge their plan name into the copy with a variable for a personal touch.

4. Measure

Track add-on and upgrade clicks as conversion goals and A/B test the placement (pricing page vs. in-app account page) to find where customers actually upgrade.

Variations

  • Usage-triggered — surface the add-on when a customer nears a plan limit.
  • Renewal window — show an annual-plan discount as renewal approaches.
  • Cross-sell — recommend the module most-used by similar accounts.
