Analytics: Email & SMS and Email Deliverability

Where to see how all your email campaigns perform together or one at a time (Analytics › Email & SMS), and where to check that your email reaches the inbox (Email deliverability).

3 min read Updated 6 hours ago

Two pages under Analytics › Off-site campaigns report on email for the whole account. Email & SMS shows how your emails perform — every campaign together, or one campaign — and Email deliverability shows whether they reach the inbox.

Same report, two doors. With one campaign picked, Email & SMS is that campaign’s own General tab, by-email table and subject tests included. Who received what, person by person, is only on the campaign’s Recipient report.

Analytics › Email & SMS

Analytics › Off-site campaigns › Email & SMS: “Opens, clicks, and conversions for your email campaigns.” It is greyed out, with No email or SMS campaigns yet., until the account has an email campaign.

“How the emails and text messages you send perform: sent, opened, clicked, purchased and unsubscribed, for all campaigns together or one campaign and its variants. Over the reporting range in the top bar, credited to the day each message was sent.”

Statistics for picks the scope:

Choice Shows
All campaigns Every email campaign together. The line beside it says how many: Tracking {n} email campaigns.
Specific campaign One campaign, chosen in Choose a campaign. A View row then narrows it to one email (All actions, or an email by name). Until a campaign is chosen, the page shows Pick a campaign.

There is no range bar on the page: it follows the top bar’s Reporting: range, and like every report its ranges end at yesterday — see Ranges end at yesterday.

What it shows

The page is a campaign’s Performance step General tab: the attribution tiles, the Delivery funnel, the cards with the same tooltips, and the charts. What changes with the scope:

All campaigns Specific campaign
Attribution tiles Orders attributed, Attributed revenue, Share of site revenue as on the campaign
Delivery funnel Sent → Opened → Clicked a link, plus Clicked (of viewed) when people clicked a recommended item as on the campaign
Added to cart, Purchased cards hidden shown
Bounced, Spam complaints summed over every email the campaigns sent in the range as on the campaign
User lists (Users clicked…) none yes
By email and subject tests none yes
Recipient report none none — open the campaign for it

With nothing sent in the range, the roll-up reads No sends recorded across your campaigns in the selected range.

Analytics › Email deliverability

Email deliverability (“Whether your email reaches the inbox: bounces, complaints and unsubscribes against the safe lines, and your email setup.”) is the account-wide view. It covers the last 30 days of all email the account sent — sends, bounces, complaints and unsubscribes — against the lines mailbox providers hold senders to: hard bounces under 2%, complaints under 0.1%. It also holds the Set up email sending checklist, and it is in the menu even before your first send.

Every part of that page — the charts, the verdicts, a new domain’s warm-up and paused sending — is explained in Email Deliverability.

One campaign’s own bounces and complaints are on its Performance step, in the Bounced and Spam complaints cards, judged against the same two lines. Those cover only that campaign, and only as far back as its per-recipient detail is kept.
