Analytics → Visitors → Visitor profiles lists every visitor who came to your site in the reporting range in the top bar, plus the people synced in from other tools. Click a row and the person’s profile slides in: who they are, what they did, the lists and audiences they are in, what your team wrote about them and every email between you. The same profile opens wherever a person is listed — Campaign audience, a campaign’s Performance step, form statistics, People in audiences and Email replies.
The Visitor profiles list
Four tiles sit above the list, counted over the whole reporting range.
| Tile | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Total users | Every profile updated in the range. |
| Identified by email | Profiles with an email address, from a login or a form, and their share of the total. |
| Identified by Internal Id | Profiles carrying your own id, sent through the tracker API or a data import. |
| Last data received | When a profile last changed. Tracker firing means new data came in during the last three hours; otherwise it says No new profile data in the last 3 hours. |
A visit is added to the list a while after it ends. Someone on your site right now is on Live visits; a profile opened before it is saved says so and links there.
The toolbar holds the search, Filters, Show columns, Export, Import and Use API. Export downloads the filtered list as a CSV of the columns shown, up to the first 10,000 visitors in the order on screen. Import and Use API open the data-import tools and the REST reference. The ⋯ at the end of a row offers View profile, Mark unsubscribed (or Re-subscribe), Copy user id and Delete user.
Filters and columns
Filters opens Filter users: Add filter as many rules as you need — a field, an operator and a value — then Apply. Rules use AND. Operators run from equals and contains to is in list and within last N days. When your account uses Audience Discovery, an Audience field filters by the audiences a person is in.
Show columns picks what the table shows. Personyze’s own fields are under Standard and Location; the fields your account defines on Visitor Attributes are under Profile fields. User ID is always shown; Reset goes back to the default columns.
The person’s profile
The profile’s header shows the person’s name or id, their email, Session # and Last seen — or No session recorded for someone added by an import, a list, a form or the API rather than by a visit — and Unsubscribed when they are. Opened from Visitor profiles or People in audiences, its buttons copy the user id, mark them unsubscribed or re-subscribe them, and delete them. Opened from a campaign’s report, it is read-only.
Below the header the profile is one long page of sections, in this order:
| Section | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Identity | User ID, Email, Internal Id, First source, First name and Last name. A person who sent a form without agreeing to marketing emails gets a line saying so — Didn’t agree to marketing emails, the form and the date. A link to Data & privacy › Visitor requests is where you download or delete everything stored about them. With an address on file, Email this person opens a Personal emails campaign’s Compose with them chosen. |
| Activity | Session counter, Last session and Data last modified. |
| Notes | What your team wrote about them — see Notes and note types. |
| Communication | Every email between you, newest first — see Communication. |
| Location | Current city, Current state, Current country and Postal code. |
| Profile fields | The fields your account defines that have a value for this person, with a count such as 4 of 82. The button under them, such as Show 78 empty fields, lists the rest. |
| Audiences | With Audience Discovery: the audience lists they are on, as rebuilt last night, and under Also matches right now, from their history today: the audiences their behaviour matches now, grouped by outcome. |
| User lists | Every list they are on — imported, filled by a campaign or made from an audience. See Imported user data. |
| Interests | The interests Personyze captured for them. |
| Product interactions | The products they viewed, with the quantity and when. |
| Content interactions | The articles they read, and when. |
Notes and note types
Notes shows how many notes your team wrote about the person and the three newest: the type, when, who wrote it, the campaign and the words. The AI reads them for every email and reply it writes to them. + Note adds one and +n more opens all of them, both in place; Show less folds them back. A login that may only read sees the notes and cannot add one.
Settings → Note types holds the kinds of note your team chooses from — Demo, Call, Order issue and the rest. The list starts from your site’s kind. Switch a type off and it is no longer offered for new notes, while the notes already written keep it; + Your own type adds one with its own name, icon and colour, and ↑ ↓ set the order. A built-in type is never removed. How notes are written, and how the AI uses them, is on Personal emails.
Communication
Communication is the person’s email timeline, newest first: each email Sent to them, when they Opened or Clicked it, what they Replied and what you Answered, each with its campaign and time. Open the conversation, on a reply or an answer, opens the thread in its campaign’s Replies step — see Email replies.
Campaign audience: who each campaign reached
Analytics → Visitors → Campaign audience shows the people your on-site campaigns reached, over the reporting range. Statistics for picks Whole site (every on-site campaign added up) or Specific campaign, and then one of its actions.
| Card | Distinct users who… |
|---|---|
| Audience | matched the campaign’s targeting in at least one session. Every other card is a share of it. |
| Sent | had at least one action sent to the page for them, shown or not. |
| Viewed | had an action on screen, or clicked, closed or converted on one. |
| Clicked | clicked at least one action. |
| Closed | closed at least one action. |
View users on a card lists the people behind it, 25 to a page, with their sessions and what each one was sent, viewed, clicked and closed. Filters narrows them by their profile fields (Add condition), Columns picks what shows, and Export downloads up to 10,000. A row opens the person’s profile; its ⋯ also offers Interests alone and Delete user. How each number is counted is on Performance metrics.
Unsubscribing and deleting a person
- Mark unsubscribed stops your emails to the person and stamps the profile Unsubscribed. Re-subscribe undoes it.
- Delete user asks first, then permanently removes the person with their events, attributes and list memberships. It is the same deletion as Data & privacy’s, and is logged there. It cannot be undone.
