Reviews you already have — exported from another tool, collected in a spreadsheet, or published as a feed — come into the Reviews page from a file or a link. For a review platform with a connection of its own, see Connecting review platforms instead.
Start an import
- Open Settings → Reviews and click Upload a file (or go to the Sources tab).
- Upload a CSV or Excel file — or give a link to one, and choose Keep it up to date to read it again on a schedule.
- Map the columns, check the result, and import.
Mapping the columns
Tell Personyze which column holds what: the text, rating, name, date, title, the product (SKU, product ID or URL), country, company, the type, and more. Columns you do not map can be kept as other details on each review.
- Several values in one cell (“Indonesia, Vietnam”) become several tags.
- Several rows of the same review are folded into one.
- A Type column can say review, testimonial, case study, press or social, in several languages.
- An About column (business, product, page / article / blog post) sets what each review is about.
The check step
- Rating scale — a 1–10 or 1–100 score is converted to stars.
- Date order — day-first or month-first.
- Rows with a date that cannot be read are counted and shown with examples. You can skip them rather than have them dated the day of the import.
A link read on a schedule
- Each read adds new reviews and updates changed ones. Edits you made on the Reviews page are kept.
- Mark reviews missing from the file as removed — a review that disappears from the file is marked removed.
- Deleting a review that the link would bring back hides it instead, so it does not return on the next read.
- On the Sources tab, a link offers Edit and Stop reading it.
