Personal Pages: What Changes — The Parts of Your Pages

The What changes step of a Personal pages campaign: the parts of your pages that speak to each segment, how each is switched on, and its settings.

9 min read Updated 10 hours ago

What changes is the second step of a Personal pages campaign (New campaign → Personalize your pages → Personal pages). It holds the parts of your pages that speak to each segment — the hero, a message bar, your header’s button, your pricing table, your form and more — each a card that says what it does for one segment. Personyze writes the words; you choose which parts change.

Approving words never switches a part on. A part the reading found changes only once you press Change it on its card; a part you add is on as you add it. What you switch on here reaches your visitors when you publish the campaign.

The top of the step

The band at the top chooses the segment: Every picture below is in the words of, then a pill per segment — hover one for who they are and how many came last week; Find a segment shows when the pills overflow. Every picture and state on the step is for that segment. The band’s counts (parts changing, need you, not changing) are filters; Show all brings every card back.

Under it, a drawing of a page — message bar, header button, hero, customer logos, pricing table, FAQ and feature cards, reviews, Book a meeting, your form — each part in its state for the segment chosen, and beside it the parts by kind, each with Open. A part, or its Open, opens its group; the groups start closed.

Colour Says Means
Green changing On, with approved words for this segment (a logos or reviews block: shown).
Amber needs you A part to point at, words to approve or still being written, or a segment nothing puts a visitor in yet.
Grey off Switched off, or a slideshow or video hero left as it is.
Dashed Not added A part you can add.

The groups and the cards

What convinces them Pricing table, FAQ and feature cards, Customer logos, Reviews, and your reviews and logos to tag

A card draws the part in the chosen segment’s words: its approved version, else its newest one waiting, else the part as your page has it. Under the picture: its name, its state, what it changes, one button and Settings, a drawer with everything else about it.

Found, or added: switching a part on

The reading finds the hero each kind of page shares, a pricing table, an FAQ or feature cards and your header’s button, and makes a message bar — all switched off. Their versions are written whether they are on or not. Change it puts one to work; Stop changing it, in its Settings, stops it (Stop showing it for a logos or reviews block).

What they see first

Message bar

Added at the top of every page, it links each segment to the page it should read next, in its own words. In its Settings, How the bar behaves: Visitors can close it, and Once closed, it stays away for a number of days; Once its link is clicked, it stays away for a number of days (0: back on the next page); On a phone, Smaller or Hidden. Until you change them: closable, 30 days, 30 days, smaller. On a site whose header stays fixed at the top, the bar sits above it and moves it down until the bar is closed.

The hero

The reading finds the hero each kind of page shares: one card for each, named by its pages. Its headline and the line under it change. Its Settings list its Pages:, which parts were found (Headline, Line under it, Picture, Button), and two choices: The picture — Stays as it is, or The segment’s pictures, up to 12 a segment from your media library (Add a picture); and The button — Stays as it is, or Its words change per segment.

The hero’s look

Once a hero is on, Choose its look opens The look of your hero: One look for every segment. Each segment’s own words are written into the look you choose.

  • Your site’s own hero: the words change, in your site’s own design. Where every hero starts.
  • A ready look, each drawn in the chosen segment’s words: one click uses it. Your design is that look as you left it; Edit the design, in the hero’s Settings, changes its colours and fonts in the panel’s design editor.
  • With a ready look in use, Where it shows: In place of your hero, Above your hero, As a pop-up or Sliding in at the corner; the last two add When it shows — When the page opens, After a delay, As they leave or After scrolling. On a live campaign, a new place goes live when you publish it live.

Use your site’s own hero, on the card, brings your site’s hero back.

Header button

The button in your site’s header — its words change per segment. The reading looks for it on your home page; if it found none, Find your header’s button reads your home page for it (like “Book a demo”). Once on, Where it leads can Send each segment to its own page — off until you switch it on; a segment left empty keeps the button’s own link.

What convinces them

Pricing table

Each segment sees the plan that fits it highlighted, with a short badge and a reason in its words. No price changes.

FAQ and feature cards

Each segment reads the items in its own order. The items move; their words never change.

Customer logos and Reviews

A block put into your pages, matched to the visitor’s segment: customer logos of companies like the visitor’s own first, or reviews from people like the visitor first. Personyze writes no words for it, so it has no versions. Add customer logos or Add reviews: choose a design, Choose a placeholder under Where it shows on your pages (one of your own placeholders with room for it), and Make it. One of each at a time; reviews need the Reviews & Surveys add-on.

Your reviews and logos, by segment

Under What convinces them, Your reviews and logos, by segment: the reviews and customer logos Personyze matched to each segment. Tag them tags them with that segment; Skip leaves them, never suggested again. Tagged, a Customer Logos or Show Reviews block set to match the visitor’s Personal pages segment shows them to that segment first — the blocks you add on this step are set that way. The tag is on the review or logo itself; on a live campaign it waits for Publish to live, and the group says how many wait.

What they do next

Your form

Its heading, the line under it and its Send words change per segment; its questions, answers, reports and the email after stay one Form. Add it: Choose a form, and the drawer shows What Personyze writes for each segment and whether a campaign of yours shows it — Personyze changes its words only there. A form with no Send button cannot be added. Or make one from a design (Make it): a Form of this campaign, shown wherever the campaign shows. Edit its questions, in Settings, opens a form of this campaign in the panel’s editor.

Book a meeting

Its heading, its button and its confirmation change per segment; its meeting types, times and bookings stay one booker. Add Book a meeting: Choose a booker, or Make a new one, a “Book a call” button for your meeting types (Set up a meeting type first if you have none). Once on, Choose its look offers ready looks and From the account; everything else is under More settings.

A part the reading missed

An amber Needs you card is a hero, pricing table or list the reading could not keep, and its line says why. A hero whose page changed since the reading stops by itself and shows the original until you point at it again, or until a daily check finds it where it was. Point at it opens its Settings: Pick it on your page opens the page — click the part, then Save placeholder — or type its CSS selector and Check. Found, it no longer needs you.

With no hero read on your home page, the card Your home page’s hero says Not found on your home page. Point at it, give Its page and Its CSS selector (or Pick it on the page), and Find it: found, it changes on every page of that kind, switched on.

Nothing else on the page changes

Only the parts that are on, only where they are found, and only in the ways each card’s Settings show. A visitor no segment fits sees your pages as they are.

This step saves as you go, into the campaign’s draft; visitors keep what was published until you Publish to staging and then Publish to live. To see each segment’s pages first, use the links on QA — Versions and Results.
