Personyze Personalization for Shopware is the official Personyze app for Shopware 6. It adds the Personyze tag to your storefront, reports product views, add-to-cart and purchases automatically, and keeps your product catalog in Personyze in step with Shopware. No theme edits, and nothing to paste.

Supports Shopware 6.6 and 6.7. It is a Shopware app, not a plugin: it contains no PHP code and runs nothing on your server.

Download

Download Personyze for Shopware 1.0.0 (personyze-shopware-app-1.0.0.zip) for a self-hosted Shopware shop.

A listing in the Shopware Store, for Shopware Cloud shops, is on its way. Until then the app installs on self-hosted shops only.

Installing

  1. Download the zip above.
  2. In the Shopware Administration, go to Extensions → My extensions and click Upload extension. Choose the zip.
  3. Find Personyze Personalization in the list, click Install, then switch it on (Activate). Shopware asks you to accept the permissions the app needs; they are listed under What data goes where.

Prefer the command line? Unpack the zip into custom/apps/ and run bin/console app:install --activate PersonyzePersonalization.

Connecting your Personyze account

  1. In Personyze, open Settings → Integrations → Full-featured API and click Generate new key. Copy the 40-character key.
  2. In the Shopware Administration, open Extensions → Personyze.
  3. Paste the key into Personyze API key and click Connect.

That is all. Personyze writes your account ID into the app’s settings, adds your shop’s domain to your tracked domains, and queues the first catalog sync, which starts within a few minutes. The module then shows Connected to Personyze account …, when the catalog last synced and how many products it holds, and a Sync catalog now button.

No Personyze account yet? The module links to a free sign-up.

Personyze appears in Shopware’s cookie banner under Marketing, unchecked by default. The Personyze tag loads only for shoppers who accept it. Shoppers who decline are not tracked and see the shop without personalization.

Shopping events

The app reports these automatically, always with the ID of the exact product the shopper chose (for a product with variants, the variant):

  • Product viewed, on every product page.
  • Added to cart, with the quantity, from the product page and from the buy buttons in category listings.
  • Purchased, with the quantity, for every product line of a finished order.

These drive product recommendations, “recently viewed”, cart and purchase targeting, and the revenue reports in Personyze.

The product catalog

Every product a shopper can buy — each variant and each simple product — is copied into your Personyze product catalog with its name, SKU, URL, image, brand, price, sale price and stock. It stays in step two ways: Shopware tells Personyze about every product change as it happens, and a full sync runs once a day to catch anything missed. A product deleted or delisted in Shopware goes out of stock in Personyze. Products that came into Personyze from any other feed are never touched.

Several sales channels

The account ID is an ordinary Shopware app setting (Extensions → My extensions → Personyze Personalization → Configure), so like any setting it can be set for all sales channels or per sales channel. A sales channel without an ID gets no tag and reports nothing.

What data goes where

  • From the shopper’s browser, after consent, to Personyze: pages viewed; products viewed, added to cart and bought (product ID and quantity); a pseudonymous visitor ID.
  • From Shopware to Personyze: notices that the app was activated, deactivated or deleted, and that a product changed. These carry IDs only.
  • Personyze reads from your shop: products and their media, categories, manufacturers, SEO URLs, sales channels and their domains, currencies, and orders with their line items. It writes one thing: the app’s account ID setting.

Verifying

Accept the Personyze cookie on your storefront, then view the source of any page: you are looking for a script containing stat-track-lib.js. Open a product page and add something to the cart, then check Personyze — the visit shows up under Live visits within a minute, and the catalog appears under Settings → Recommendation setup → Product Catalog after the first sync.

Troubleshooting

“That API key does not open a Personyze account.” Copy the key again from Settings → Integrations → Full-featured API; it is 40 characters long. A key that was deleted in Personyze no longer works.

The storefront has no tag. The tag waits for the Personyze cookie to be accepted: check in a private window after accepting it. Then check that the sales channel you are looking at has an account ID (see Several sales channels).

The catalog is empty. Click Sync catalog now in Extensions → Personyze. If a sync failed, the module shows why.

Installation stops with “Could not sign payload with store secret”. The zip was not the one from this page. Download it again from the link above.

Uninstalling

Deactivate or uninstall the app under Extensions → My extensions. The tag disappears at once, Personyze stops syncing the catalog, and the products already in your Personyze catalog stay there until you remove them.
