Reviews, set up with AI puts your best reviews where visitors decide. Personyze counts the reviews you have and finds the review platform your site runs, picks the strongest of your real reviews — their own stars and words, never rewritten — adds a reviews widget, and finds its spot: right under the buy button of your product pages, or just before your form. You check it and publish to staging. Start it in New campaign: on the Reviews & Testimonials card, press Set it up with AI. It opens a new campaign, Reviews, set up with AI, and nothing is written until you save it. Once you have one, the button says Open your AI setup.
How it works
The campaign’s steps are Where your reviews are, Which to show, Where to show them and Review and publish, then Content, Target, QA and Performance. The campaign is known by its description, so its description stays as it is; Open the full editor, in its menu, shows the campaign with the type’s usual steps.
On the first open, Where your reviews are asks how to go on:
| Card | What happens |
|---|---|
| Set up by AI (Recommended) — Set it up for me | Personyze picks the strongest of your reviews, adds the widget and finds the spot beside your buy button or form — a few minutes. It opens on Review and publish: you check one summary, then publish to staging. It uses no AI credit. |
| Step by step — Let me check each step | The four steps yourself: where your reviews come from, which to show, where they go, and the summary. |
Where your reviews are
Three counts from your Reviews library: Published, Not published (waiting for you, hidden, or removed on their platform) and Platforms connected. Published and not published add up to what the Reviews page holds.
Personyze also looks at the scripts your pages load for a review platform — Trustpilot, Judge.me, Yotpo, Okendo, Reviews.io, Trusted Shops, Feefo and more. A platform you have connected says so — Trustpilot is connected — and its reviews come in every day. One it finds on your site but you have not connected offers its own button, such as Connect Trustpilot; you type your own keys in its connection form. Below, the Reviews page’s sources are at hand: connect a platform, upload a file or a link, collect reviews with a Review Form on your site, or add them by hand (see The Reviews page).
Which to show
The strongest of your real reviews. Two ways to pick:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Pick for me | Picks by rules, free: by their stars, how recent they are and how much they say — one per reviewer, at most three per product. |
| Pick with AI | Puts the strongest first with AI: one AI request, charged to your account’s AI credit; the step says what it usually costs and how much you have left. The AI orders your reviews; it writes nothing. A reviewer’s name and company are never sent to it. |
Only published and waiting reviews are picked — never hidden or removed ones, private feedback or logos. On a store they are star reviews of 4 stars or more; on a business, reviews, testimonials and case studies. Up to 12 are picked, and never the same words twice.
Each pick shows its stars, its words, who wrote it and the product, with Keep, and up to three reasons: Top rated, Recent, Says what happened, Names a result, Names the product, Has a photo, Verified buyer or Adds variety. A waiting review says Waiting – published when you publish to live.
The first pick adds the widget, Reviews, set up with AI, a Show Reviews design (see Show Reviews):
| Your site | Design | Shows |
|---|---|---|
| A store | Product Reviews | 6 reviews, those of the product on screen first. |
| A business | Testimonial Wall | 3 reviews. |
Featured reviews come first; reviews in the visitor’s language come first, and so do those from the visitor’s country when enough reviews carry one.
Where to show them
On a store, right under the buy button of your product pages — where a shopper looks before adding to the cart. On a business, just before your form — proof from people like them before a visitor types their email. Find the spot on my pages opens a page or two of your site and finds your buy button (Found your buy button) or your form (Found your form); Use this spot places the widget there. When there is no button or form it can be sure of, Pick a spot on Content lets you click the place on your own page. The design’s look, colours and words are changed on Content (Open Content).
Review and publish
What the setup made: the widget, whether it is in its spot, and how many reviews were picked to lead, with a preview of the picks.
- Publish to staging saves the campaign and shows the widget on your testing devices. On staging it shows your published reviews by its settings; the picks lead once you publish to live.
- Check it on your site opens QA (see QA campaigns).
Until you save, every change rides the campaign: Save as draft, Publish to staging or Publish to live writes it, and Discard unsaved changes puts it back. Use this spot is the one thing written at once.
Publish to live: what changes in your reviews
When you press Publish to live, a box says how many of your reviews it changes — Publishing to live changes 8 of your reviews — and lists what: waiting reviews that will be published, reviews that will be featured, and reviews that will be given the country their reviewers named. Your reviews belong to the whole account, so every reviews widget on your site shows the change — not only this campaign.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Publish and change 8 reviews | Publishes the campaign to live, then makes those changes. |
| Publish without them | Publishes the campaign; your reviews stay as they are. |
| Cancel | Publishes nothing. |
A review you have changed since it was picked is left as you made it. Once live, Change my reviews now on Review and publish makes the changes you left out.
Limits
- A store’s widget shows only reviews of 4 stars or more; it needs reviews to pick, which the first step brings in.
- A plan without Reviews & Testimonials shows Upgrade on the card and no AI button. Without the Reviews & Surveys add-on, the widget is built but shows on your site only once the add-on is on.
- The setup has no Automation step.
