Email Recommendations, Set Up with AI — Picks for Each Person in the Emails You Send

Pick the emails you send, and Personyze sets the picks for each, draws them in your site’s look and gives you one code per email, each person’s picks chosen when they open it.

Email recommendations, set up with AI puts personal picks into the emails you already send from your own email service. You choose the emails, Personyze sets the picks that fit each one and draws them in your site’s look, and you get one code per email. Each person’s picks are chosen when they open it. Start it in New campaign: on the Get Code for Emails: Product Recommendations card (or Get Code for Emails: Content Recommendations), press Quick setup with AI. The panel’s Recommendations page offers it too. An account has one setup — once yours exists, the button says Open your AI setup.

Watch the 1:38 walkthrough: where the picks go and the blocks it proposed, what a recipient it does not know gets, your email service’s tag, the picks drawn in your store’s own look, Save as draft and Get the code.

Nothing reaches anyone until the code is in an email you send. Nothing is written until you save. This setup uses no AI credit: the picks come from the email recommendation rules you already have, and the look from your site.

How it works

Each email you pick is a block of its own: its own Get Code campaign (named like Email recommendations: After purchase), its own code and its own numbers. Every block’s campaign opens on the same steps: Where it goes, Your email service and How it looks, then that block’s own Catalog, Product events (Content events for articles) and Recommendation, then Get the code, QA and Performance.

The first open says Set up for you: the places, the service, the look and the words are already chosen, for you to change.

Where it goes

Where will the picks go? shows a card for each email, for the catalogs your account has. It proposes at most two: a store with purchases gets After purchase and Weekly newsletter, a store without them Weekly newsletter and Welcome, a content site Keep reading and New in your topics. A place that cannot work yet says why (Waits for purchases from your site) and is not proposed.

Place Its picks (proposed) A recipient we don’t know
After purchase What goes with what they bought, never the item itself Gets your best sellers
Weekly newsletter For you, topped up with what is new Gets what is new, then best sellers
Win-back For you, then price drops Gets your best sellers
Welcome Popular in what they looked at Gets your best sellers
Keep reading (articles) More on what they read (Go deeper) Gets your most read
New in your topics (articles) Popular new articles since their last visit Gets what was just published

A store also has Abandoned cart and Time to restock; a content site also has Weekly newsletter, Welcome, Renewal and Win-back. In the table of blocks (Your 2 blocks), each row’s Its picks offers two or three choices; finer rules are in each block’s own Recommendation step. Another block is changed in its own campaign (Open). Remove asks first: the block’s campaign is deleted when you save, and its code then shows nothing.

Who gets personal picks counts the people Personyze knows by email. Everyone else gets the fallback, never an empty block.

Your email service

Which service sends these emails? lists Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot and ten more, and Another service; the one you connected or that Personyze found on your site comes first, marked Proposed. It sets the tag your service fills in for each recipient. Under How we know who opened it, choose Their email address (proposed) or Your own user ID — only if your site sends Personyze that same ID. For Another service, type its address tag exactly: a typo means no personal picks. How it will be added says You paste it, with the steps for your service on Get the code.

How it looks

How the picks look in an email draws each block, one tab each, On a computer and On a phone, with a real recipient’s picks. Its look is Cards, two across (proposed), Rows or Photo tiles; Same look for every block keeps them alike, and Dark mode shows how they read there. Under Its words are Heading, Button and How many (2, 4 or 6), written in your site’s language. Also set lists the rest, from your colour and font to the links’ UTM tags. Edit the design opens the block’s design.

Get the code

  • A new block is made by Save: Save first. Then Publish this block to live first. — its pictures are drawn only for a live block. Live changes nothing for anyone until the code is in an email you send.
  • Copy takes the block’s code, its service’s tag already in it, and To paste it in… gives your service’s steps.
  • Send yourself a test: choose Whose picks, or find someone by their email, and press Send me a test. Only you get it.
  • QA shows any recipient’s picks; Open the full editor has every other setting.

Limits

  • It needs a catalog: without one it says so and offers the fix, such as Upload catalog.
  • Apple Mail fetches pictures when the email arrives, so for those readers the picks are chosen then, not when they open it.
  • The words are written in English, Greek, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese; in another language, you type them.
  • With few people known by email, most recipients get the fallback until forms and sign-ins on your site add more.
  • It needs a plan with Get Code for Emails.
